Reuniting Blues Chapter 14: Monday Couple Fanfiction

"Oppa! Jung Gi!" I ran towards him without hesitating.

Like an idiot, Gunie Oppa turned over and looked at me, causing him to be drowned in punches, causing him to be dangerously injured.

"Oppa! No!" I hurried to him, covering myself on his head and turned to the bad gangsters.

"Yah! Jugelle! #@*?!Don't hurt my Oppa!" I was crying nervously, shouting out my best insults at them to calm down.

"Go finish them off!" The boss of the gang screamed out the orders, almost making me losing hope.

The others from the head of the gang were hesitating, looking at me empathically, they approached slowly, but the spirit of defeating were drained from their eyes and i knew it. So, i turned back to Gunie Oppa.

"Oppa, kwenchana?" I asked him, tears rolling out of my eyes as i looked at his bruised face which had a nosebleed.

"Ah…Sung Im ah…You go to back…Oppa will take care of this…" Gunie oppa smiled at me courageously, making me bawl me in retort.

"No…Oppa! You're injured! You go there! I'll settle this! It's me who started this, anyway!" I cried out, though knowing the truth, it wasn't me who started this, it was that junk-headed bully!

"Imie ah…no…You go…You can't defeat those people although you are good at pulling those tricks…" Gunie Oppa choked, his eyes twinkling at me.

"No Oppa! I won't let you! Let me fight this battle!" I roared, making the other bad guys flinch and Gunie oppa to smirk.

"Alright then…Lets fight together!" Gunie oppa steadied himself and stood up, me hanging by his shoulders.

"Kudae!" I brought out a fist and punched into the fresh air of adrenaline that flashed around us.

I felt competitiveness inside me, bursting out from hearts within and i clutched more tightly around Gunie oppa's arm as he listed me down, me standing almost half a body shorter.

"Eh…You send this little girl to fight? I don't think so…BEAT THEM DOWN! Dimwits!" The leader shouted out, making the troop members hesitate.

They approached us in an even slower pace then before, giving me and Gunie oppa enough time to come out with a plan.

"Imie, as you are small, you can escape faster, so you can do whatever to stop them from below and oppa will finish their heads, okay?" Gunie oppa ordered seriously.

"Oppa, we don't have to kill them, right?" I asked in a small voice, scared that we may become master criminals.

"Haha…Of course not! We'll just make them fall in defeat and thats all! Okay, Imie! High-fivee!" Gunie oppa cheered as we clapped our hands together, being united as one to defeat those gangsters.

Gunie oppa and i ran out to the gang members, Oppa punching out swift boxing moves to their bodies and head, making them fall one by one. While i, the defines and attack expert, did arm bars, grabbed legs tightly for oppa to punch them to unconscious people, pulled their hair as i speedily climbed up them like an annoying ant and of course, shout out happily when we won.

Me and Gunie oppa cheered loudly and did some celebrations, almost making me forget that Gunie oppa was injured. He suddenly fainted as colour drained from his face. My eyes widened as i shook him, only to get his lethargic figure in my arms.

"Gunie Oppa! No! Call the ambulance! CALL THE AMBULANCE!" I cried out anxiously, but apparently, there was no one around.

I quickly rigged in poppa's pockets for his phone(which his mother had given him to contact them) and dialled for the ambulance. Within minutes, the ambulance arrived, bringing Gunie Oppa and i to the hospital nearby. It was the first SOS call i needed badly and it resulted in worse news.

Because of the recount, although my family were very grateful to Gunie oppa, they thought my school wasn't safe and that i needed to go to another school. And with that, we moved away, 3 years later after all my siblings were older and more mature. Without giving contacts to Gunie oppa and his family. Sure, i was sad, and i couldn't bare to see Oppa's even gloomy face when i looked back from the back window as we left.

Song Ji Hyo snapped out from her memory, suddenly crying out hysterically.

"It's all that stupid bully's fault! Not Gunie Oppa's! Argh…He was so protective and good to me…and my parents did that to him and his family! Its so unfair!" Ji Hyo collapsed down on the mountain floor, tears streaming from her eyes as her mind replied Gunie oppa's fight, his injured face and the extremely gloomy face, making Ji Hyo even more emotional.

Dripping wet in her own tears, Ji Hyo took out a packet of tissue.

Still remembering the words Gary had said to her as he passed the packet of tissue to her, she recited.

"I never underestimated you, Gunie Oppa…"

Kang Gary drove down from the top, going speedily down the steep slope, he quickly engaged a loud speaker phone to Ji Hyo.

"Yoboseyo?…>sniff< Kang Gary?" Ji Hyo mumbled, her sniffs getting obvious.

"Ah! Ji Hyo! I'll be here very fast! And i may only be able to stop at  4 seconds for you to jump in before it speeds up again! Alaaso? Get ready!" Gary ordered, not missing out the little sniffs he had heard. "Ji Hyo, are you…um…crying?"

"Okay!>sniff<Ah?…Annio! Yah! Don't ask!"Ji Hyo concluded.

"Okay…okay! But get ready, okay!" Gary shouted his last words to Ji Hyo and ended the phone call.

Song Ji Hyo waited nervously outside the 'Jamsil's Five Men Spot'.

She was worried that she might not be able to jump in in the nick of time. Or that Gary would over speed and drive straight to a tree on the way here. She knew about the scenario, going up was okay, but going down, it was a rollar-coaster ride.

Right in the middle of her thoughts, a black car, which was identical to hers drove to her vicinity. Ji Hyo immediately sprung in her steps, pacing towards the spot where she ideally thought would be perfect to get in. Gary had put on the brakes, trying to slow down as much as possible for Ji hyo to get in.

At the right time, Ji Hyo ran to open the door, gravity pulling her right down to the seat, she gasped and closed the door.

"Ah! YES!" Both of them cheered, high-five-ing together in happiness.

Ji Hyo almost had an urge to hug Gary but she resisted. She knew it was hard to drive down the slope, so she waited until they reached the flat ground.

"Gumawo! Gunie Oppa! Gumawo!" Ji Hyo cried as she sprinted towards Gary's side as they opened the doors for some fresh air at the bottom of the mountain.

She hugged her tightly, bringing out happiness and embarrassment in both of them.

"Gunie oppa? You remembered you already?" Gary asked, his eyes widening.

"Of course! I didn't know you at first, but now i do! Oh…how long i was waiting for this day!" Ji Hyo says as she smiled sweetly at gary.

"Thi-ss day?…" Gary's eyes continued to widen, as his hearts desires were almost fulfilled when he heard that.

"Yeah! You're my favourite Oppa! You still remember me, don't you! I'm Imie!" Ji Hyo chirped, as she tackled Gary with a side hug.

Gary was like a ripe tomato now. And he was in Cloud nine. Favourite oppa? OMG!

"Jjinja? Haha…It's so nice to meet you again…although we have met 3 years ago, actually…" Gary was getting more and more awkward, as if he was slipping in the conversation's black hole.

"Yeah…But we are reconciled now, aren't we?" Ji Hyo asked.

Ji Hyo was seriously in denial, she had no idea where the courage of telling all of that to Gary came
 from but she had already said all that was hidden in her heart for so long, so theres no turning back.

"Yeah…How about Oppa drive you back to your house now? I'm sure your manager will be worried about you being out for so long…" Gary gestured Ji Hyo to the car.

"But…Oppa…what about my car?" Ji Hyo asked, looking up at the mountains.

"Your car? Not to worry…Oppa will give you mine," Gary looked right into Ji Hyo's eyes, warming her heart instantly.

Reuniting Blues Chapter 13: Monday Couple Fanfiction

Song Ji Hyo kept driving upwards.

Her eyes scanning the vicinity for signs of the little carpark-like place Gary had told her about. Yes, she was suspicious about the place and why Gary had known about it. She was also suspicious about why Kang Gary would chase after her. 

Why did you look for me?…And how did you know i was in trouble?…

Song Ji Hyo's heart wavered. Part of her was excited about reconciling with her long-lost Gunie oppa, the other part, totally brainwashing her that he may not know her, and that they will never have a good future. The bad part of her heart was secretly telling her all the lies, concluding about her Monday boyfriend just looked for her because Mrs Kim told him to, and that he is just worrying as a friend.

"Hais…Sung Im! Stay Strong! Anyway, all the thinking may just be me only…" Song Ji Hyo was totally depressed at her own contagious thoughts, which was going to bring her to a greater danger in the later future.

"Yes long time no call! How are you?" Gary called his old elementary school friend, whom was leaving near the mountainside.

"Ah…Hee Gun, ah…I heard about you! You are now LeeSsang's Kang Gary, right? Oh and i absolutely love your role at Running Man! Monday boyfriend to Song Ji Hyo? Wah…you so lucky!" His friend replied, leaving him in redness from hearing that.

"Ah..yes…Um…i'm just calling for a favour, can you-" Gary told his friend some instructions before hanging up, continuing driving up the steep slope speedily.

"Ah! there it is!" Ji Hyo shouted, she was really excited.

Looking at the twig-made sign, depicting 'Jamsil's five men spot', she swerved quickly into the opening and emerged to a wide-sized area where there were piles of paper, musical instruments, some microphones and a few photo momentos.

"Daebak!" Ji Hyo came out from the car, slamming the car doors, she walked towards the stage-like area, where lots of lyrics lay on the papers.

The soft writing of Gary lay on those papers and when Ji hyo read them, it was mostly all the older songs of LeeSsang, which had slightly yellowish tinges around them.

"Wah…Kang Gary wrote them here?" Ji Hyo said in awe, looking at the pictures next to the trees, there were selcas of Gary and Gil, plus some of the other members which had debuted with them last time.

"Oh…this must be where they practised last time! OMG! Look at this picture of Gary! He looks so young!" Ji Hyo picked out a photo of a teenage Gary.

"Omo! He's so handsome!" Ji hyo shrieked out unwittingly.

Did i just say Gary is handsome?…

Ji Hyo went into blank-mode, the previous memory that she had thought of came to her mind…

"Hahaha! Sung Im is a loser! Sung Im is a loser! Haha!" the former bully in my preschool jeered at me, pulling out an upside down thumbs-up in my face.

I cringed my teeth, i wanted to do a punch right at his face, or arm-bar him, or even do a flying kick! But Gunie Oppa said no, so i won't.

"Why? You don't want to fight? Haha…Sung Im is a scaredy-cat! Sung Im is a scaredy-cat!" The bully continued jeering.

I was enraged then, adrenaline was pouring into my blood vessels in litres, as if my body was telling me to kill him right there and then. I could not control it anymore, i wanted to kick his butt!

But i was too slow, he brought out a punch in my stomach, capsizing my 5 year-old body. 

"Argh…Yah! Jugelle!" I brought out an insult to bury him in his face, only to be hit by another elbow on my shoulder.

They were jeering really hard now and i want them to stop. Then, a miracle happened. 

A dark shadow loomed over me, he brought me behind his back, blocking me away from the bad people. 

"Imie! Kwenchana?" It was Gunie oppa! I almost stifled a tear.

"i'm okay…" I replied, looking straight into his caring eyes.

"Yah! What are you doing to Imie?" Gunie oppa shouted at those jerks,making me smile.

"Who are you?" The bully sneered at Gunie oppa, i thought it was funny as Gunie oppa was taller than him by a lot and he was 10.

"I'm her oppa! You should not have beaten her up, otherwise, i will show you my boxing skills!" Gunie Oppa clenched a fist menacingly in front of them, making them flinch in fright.

"Oh…Mianhe…I won't, ever again," The jeering bully of before actually bowed down to Gunie oppa! I was so happy then, but i didn't know that the bully's brother was even worse, he was a gangster!

The reason why i needed an SOS before was because of this accident…

As Gunie oppa was worried about me, he went home with me everyday then, as he was on holiday then and i was not (yeah…preschools are like that). And he was staying at my house.

One day, as we were walking back home, a burly guy, with looks of 16 appeared with a few other twin-like guys about 14. They had tattoos over their body and i shivered in fear behind Gunie oppa as i was that small, if i had been bigger, like now, i would bash them up, do a few Taekwondo moves, wrestling and my famous flying kick.

"Are you Sung Im?And you are her oppa, righto?" The gangster-like guy asked, flexing his head and shoulders while doing so.

"Imie, go run to that convenience store, oppa will handle this," Gunie oppa ordered me, but i was reluctant to go. Seeing the difference in the size of Gunie oppa and the bad guy, i was super worried and he almost had to carry me to the store.

I peeked out from the transparent glass panel of the store and i saw Gunie oppa spouting insults at the bad guy. I knew the result of the match and i couldn't bear to see it, but i had to show my oppa support.

All i saw was the bad guy getting angry and ordering his comrades in hand to beat Gunie oppa up. But  Gunie oppa stood there, no sign of defeat, clenching his fists tightly as a crowd gathered to see. His eyes wandered for me before turning back at the two gangsters coming right towards him, a tear slid out from his right eye as he showed off his boxing skills. Punching there and another place in lightning speed. Although he was good at such an age, I knew he could not take it from the head of the gang.

I silently came down from the table i was standing on to watch and ran out to the pavement of the street.

"Oppa! JungGi(stop)!"

Why must the cars be identical?

Ji Hyo looked blankly at the two twin-like black cars, her mouth widening.

Why must they be identical? Why?

Ji Hyo thought frustratingly. She had no idea why Gary's car was the same as her's. Thank goodness the cars had different car plates, otherwise, will she be able to set those cars apart?

She walked towards the right one, bringing out her car key, she opened the door, jumping inside and drove away, leaving the other car in dust.

"Ahjumma! Ahjumma!" Gary ran hastily into the kitchen of his aunt's dessert store, hoping she was there.

"Ah, Hee Gun, ah! Where were you? Imie just left!" Mrs Kim said, as she turned around and grabbed Gary, who was very anxious.

"Imie? Jjinja? She's Imie?!" Gary is now severely frustrated.

The beautiful and cute girl whom he had always took care of  is Song Ji Hyo? The girl that always stuck with him, that he totally loved like how he loved Song Ji Hyo is her? Now, wait....He's confused, so Imie is Song Ji Hyo? The angelic and beautiful girl became an angelic and beautiful woman, yup, that was right. Kang Gary or Kang Hee Gun totally agreed.

"Yeah! Hee Gun! Are you dreaming or what? She is Imie and you better wake up!" Mrs Kim waved
her right hand around Gary's head, as he was in dream mode, for almost the first time.

"Wha-t? Oh! But where did she go?" Gary asked hurriedly, he knew that Ji Thio must know that he is that Gunie Oppa from last time and he wanted to reconcile with her with open arms.

"I think she went home, but please ah, Hee Gun! Go chase after her!" Mrs Kim shook Gary hard at his shoulders, almost jolting him back to his fully energized mode.

"Kudae! Gumawo Ahjumma! I shall see you soon!" Gary nodded, running out from the back door and to his black car.

Song Ji Hyo had no idea where she was going.

She was totally out of her mind when she got out of the car park of Mrs Kim's Dessert house. And apparently she had spun around the town or even the island for almost half an hour, without a destination.

"Argh! What did I do?" Ji Hyo scratched her head, turning again when the road lights reads green.

"Where am I?" Ji Hyo's answer was immediately answered.

As she turned, a very tattered signboard read, YangJi-Dong.

And below, it read, This Road To Sanseong-Ri(Mountains).

Oh....I'm so dead...

Ji Hyo had un expectantly turned to a road to the mountains, which means she had to go right to the top of the mountain and do a u-turn, otherwise the whole car might just do a backflip if she turned at the middle point as mountains are really steep.

It was one of the first time I needed a SOS...the other time was the worst SOS, Gunie Oppa was injured then...

"Where are you...Ji Hyo ah..." Gary was getting impatient as he scanned the roads for an identical black car like his.

He had bought this car as it really seemed as if he was a Song Ji Hyo fan, wanting everything she has. In another point, his excuses to his teasing friends were, "I like the car's style," but it only resulted for more teasing.

"Ji Hyo ah....pick up the phone!" Gary had his phone tightly clipped on with his earphone, as he didn't want to have something distracting him from finding Ji Hyo as fast as possible.

"Anyeong? Song Ji Hyo here~" Ji Hyo had picked up, though seems to be speaking in her usual Mong~monotone.

"Ah! Ji Hyo ah! Listen! Where are you?" Gary hurriedly speaker through the phone, happy that the phone finally went through.

"Um...Sanseongri?...Haha..." Ji Hyo laughed at her own stupidness.

"Sanseongri? How did you get there?" Gary questioned in awe as his eyes widened.

"Uh...um...no idea? I just kept driving...haha...now I need to go right to the top to get back to Jamsil..." Ji Hyo answers, Gary could almost hear the bumps the car was getting onto when going up the hills.

"Ah, Ji Hyo! Listen to Oppa! Stay where you are! Oppa will go up by the other side and when I reach you, you have only about twelve seconds to get into my car before we could get into a car accident, you understand? Now get ready as Oppa is somewhere there right now..." Gary ordered Ji Hyo.

"Um... Oppa...wouldn't my car like flip over if I stop it?" Ji Hyo asks worriedly.

"I know a place there that is like a little car park! You can continue driving up until you see a little opening with little twigs that says Jamsil's five men spot! Don't ask me why I know that, but just follow the instructions! Okay? Oppa will be there as quick as I can!" Gary shouted the words through the speaker, turning in gust as the road to JungBu-Myeong appeared.

"Okay Oppa! Bye!" Ji Hyo agreed happily as her SOS seemed to be answered.

Gary pressed the hang-up button on his earphone and he pressed on his accelerator, his car sprinting up the slope as he called another person
